O.K. Reuploading this after initially freaking out that people won't like this design as much as my Fluttershy one I did. I messed up in several places in the sketch so I wasn't sure if I should keep it up or not. Feel free to critique but I kind of already know a lot of what I want to change. I don't like how the wand came out. Also, not sure the purple stockings or opera gloves are quite working. It just comes off like I'm forcing the whole "She's the purple pony" thing. I've got to rethink how to give it a bit more of a natural feeling. The bottom half of the star pattern needs to be up slightly higher and I think the stars going down the top part of dress should go in more of a swirling pattern instead of just up and down like I've got in this sketch.

Technique ImpactI love the style and color choices. Especially on the dress. It brings a texture to the piece as a whole. I liked the idea of the unicorn horn as a wand, I haven't seen anything like it in human version pictures. The apple had me baffled for a moment, and it took me awhile to remember that it was turned into a carriage in the show.
The pose does very little for me. It is very stale and symmetrical. Both arms are bent into an 'L' shape. The hips and shoulders are flat, and the line of action is unclear. Try to make your poses more dynamic so its more appealing to the eye and really make the picture shine.
My recommendation would be to have her casting the spell on the apple. Get a nice understanding of the picture. Also it would make for great posing.
This is a very well done picture and, like I said before, the coloring is amazing. Keep up the good work.
